Regulating the mesh
Does it happen? Are Jovian users of the Mesh restricted in what they can access? Do governments or corporations (or individuals) regulate information in certain places? Can they even attempt it, given the distributed nature of computer and communication technology? I have a terrible feeling this is covered in the Mesh chapter-I just couldn't find it. Someone help me out here.

Re: Regulating the mesh
People have waged entire wars in the mesh. The core book mentions entire corps who are mostly occupied with meme control and supervision. There's millions of infomorphs who could earn a living by patrolling the mesh, reporting certain kinds of content, deleting or discrediting it, spamming, trolling, hacking... There's people -especially in the Jovian Republic- who are entirely denied mesh access to keep them controlled. I guess this should at least provide a starting point. Total control of the mesh is impossible, but with sufficient ressources, you can influence and utilize it in areas vital to your interests.

Dude...that's awesome, thanks. Fresh faces, fresh ideas. And here I thought forums were like bridges...

Re: Regulating the mesh
Glad that i could help. I hope that this forum turns out to be a place where people actually work together to improve the game and exchange ideas, instead of trying to prove that they're right about some rules or setting minutiae. It's about time that we utilize the web to build games based on shared creative input of a community and EP seems to be a good candidate for this.
