Homebrew Setting Cover(s)
Made a cover page for my campaign setting notes, thought I'd share. I can't see being able, with my limited free time, to write out a full blown setting, but will be using this to encourage me anyway. Setting uses EP rules and background elements, but makes a few changes. Transhumanity are collectively no longer in Sol space, Memories of the first generation transhumans have been edited to erase any knowledge of their place of origin, names have vanished as have family lines, the concept of religion is something only now being talked about. There is no common reference in the night sky. There are clues though, remains of corrupted data, a photograph here, and letter there. The technology is the same, the star system is colonized, it's just not our star. Factions will change slightly to eradicate any trace of Earth history. New ones will be added possibly. I'm thinking this basically involves a (Group of?) TITAN(s) taking human uploads and putting them in a far away system, far enough for Earth to be lost. Not too sure about the gates, may add lighthuggers though. Causality and all that. No Aliens.. at least not in the beginning. I have a ton of notes but nothing solid yet, most of this is being scavenged from my homebrew RPG "Black Ocean". Full Scale Image (300dpi) here: http://black-ocean.org/bloc-cover.png I'd be willing to help others with cover images for community projects too, when free time allows.

Any ideas for Meltwater? It needs some illustrations.

That's awesome!! can you do street maps, too? I'd love to see maps of the domed cities on Mars, Luna, Titan or big habitats like Extropia, Locus and the Venusian skycities

Nice cover-is there more information on the setting available? Btw-Black Oceans is the title of a novel dealing with singularity that was published in Poland http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czarne_oceany

I could possibly do up a Meltwater cover, don't think that would be too hard to pull off. Inside illustrations are a little more... difficult? I'm not so good at illustrations. I'll see what I can come up with.

That could be an awesome project, city maps for Mars and Luna might be fun to try, Though I can't guarantee the results (Never tried it before). The only problem I can foresee is making a map in 3 dimensions for the larger habs.

I have a few notes on the setting, I'm planning on setting up a (forum/cms) on my website so I can start detailing some things. It will be set in a fairly dense starfield though so travel time will be limited, Exsurgents and Exhumans will be wandering around, possibly with temporary and hidden bases/habitats. Piracy will be common. Still no spaceship combat though, I plan on using ships much like Burning Empires does, color more than mechanics. As an aside: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Ocean_Society
