This is a question that's bugging me. Eclipse Phase has Math Boost and Eidetic Memory as mental implants under bioware, which means it's an organic augmentation, with similar changes possible for synthmorphs.
Thing is, resleeving to me always came across as recreating the brain architecture piece by piece elsewhere. The brain that is created, be it physical or a digital emulation, is a recreation of what was there before. Augmentations merely change this. My thought is, how can there be a distinction between Eidetic Memory as an ego trait and morph trait? Same for Math Wiz, of course. Logically, if that's how ego transfers work, those traits would go with it in the recreation of the brain architecture.
Of course, I then ask in turn what the difference is in buying the implant and buying the trait, apart from cost? Wouldn't either one get transferred into the neural architecture of each morph in turn?
