Ep has a lot of greek reffs in it, if you'd like an ancient reff from a non greek source that would fit into the game nicely, try "Ushabti". (Oo shahb tee)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ushabti
In sum, in ancient egypt there was a very strong belief in an afterlife similar to the current one, and people believed they would have to work in the afterlife. But if you paid a priest to create a figurine, often but not always in your image, and endow it with symbols of life like the ankh, and had it, or them if you had several made, buried with you they would accompany your soul into the afterlife and, when you had to work, the ushabti would take your place and do your work for you.
So a ushabti was a mystical little stand in for someone who paid a priest to make him one or more and did that person's work for him. My, my. Sounds a bit like a fork, doesn't it?
So maybe the term ushabti could be used in EP to represent a fork someone makes in their image to do some sort of work for them. It's a good term and it just reminds me of forks in EP, so I thought I'd toss it out here for other players to add if they wanted too.
