Two ?'s From Recent Game
Two wounds can cause unconsciousness. How do you regain consciousness? How often can an Octomorph use his ink ability? (I'm leaning towards once an encounter.)

So at this point I'm guessing theres no rule that I missed. So how do you handle this in your games? If someone is knocked out when taking two wounds how do you treat it? Do you have a house-rule for allowing them to regain consciousness? During the same combat? After?

Re: Two ?'s From Recent Game
it says "until they are awoken or heal" So I'd pretty much say that unless someone tries to wake a badly wounded character they're going to be out for a while. I don't know whether 'heal' means healing some DV or healing one wound. If they can be awoken by another character making a first aid test I'd say that would be equivelant to healing some DV So without intervention I'd say a double wounded character is going to be out for the amount of time listed in the colum; "Damage Healing Rate" on the table on page 208. I might house rule that a character that has been knocked out by wounds might be woken by rougher techniques. Slapping them or throwing water on them but I'd probably rule that they have to make the SOMx3 test every Turn or go back to sleep. PS> About the Ink attack thing. What's the range of an ink attack? Does it work outside an aqueous environment? I can't find anything about it outside the morph description. Once an encounter seems a little nerfed. I might coppy the rules for the plasma cannon gun. To me it really depends on the range of the attack and if it will work in air or vacuum. one point is that in most vacuum environments its also going to be sub zero temperatures so the ink is going to be little solid beads.

Yea the only reference I can find for recovering from unconsciousness are the ones mentioned for when you have your Dur reduced to 0. Awoken or healed....So slapping them and screaming LIVE DAMN YOU LIVE is an effective treatment. As for the ink I allowed the player to use it in zero G against Gray Xu in the "mind the wmd" adventure. Just treating it like a gas grenade. He rushed her and engulfed her in an ink cloud while trying to grab the canister from her. Obviously have to take some liberties with the ink rulings.

Re: Two ?'s From Recent Game
If the ink is a gas grenade in atmosphere I'd say once per encounter is a fair ruleing. If I play an octomorph I'll probably treat the like a liquid SS squirt gun with a range of 5m. It requires an exotic ranged weapon skill so it's got to be worth the 30 or so points you spend to use it. I'd say slapping unconsious people is the polite thing to do. You at least ought to check befor you pop a guys stack ;)

You got the knife jammed in the guys neck when you hear a muffled "I'm not dead yet". Hmm if you hurry you can tell his new morph he must have hallucinated that part due to trauma.
