Combat Book
Okay, so recent events have probably rendered this point moot but i'll share it anyway. I was thinking about the upcoming Space Combat book and how it would have a lot to cover in a small book. It also occurred to me that during the Transhuman open playtest there was the Skill Tricks that hadn't made it into the game. Sadly, I no longer have the files to see what the original text was for them. I was also reading up on this thread : https://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?800632-Eclipse-Phase-Example-Combat... and the SquireNed's An Ultimate's Guide to Combat : http://eclipsephase.com/ultimates-guide-combat for ideas. So, I was wondering how a full sized book about alternate combat rules and options would go over? I don't play too much so I can't speak strongly about the rules, but it seems like there would be enough out there to fill a book. If it were to happen, I think a good title would be - Direct Action : Advanced Combat Manual

I plan to make another when
I plan to make another when EP2 comes out. I might steal your title, to distinguish it from AUGC, as it will have somewhat different content (potentially, depending on how we see EP2 develop).

Awesome. I get a fair amount of use out of the current AUGC in my campaign, and my group wants to be part of the open playtest for EP2, so assuming we transition to that ruleset it'll be cool to see what you come up with for it.

Do you have any feedback on
Do you have any feedback on AUGC? Things that suck (other than the formatting: I know about that, and I've come up with fixes, but they only really work when you *start* making the document with the correct methods, and going back to fix it is prohibitively time consuming) or things that are must-haves for AUGC2 would be nice to know.

I don't really have any
I don't really have any strong criticism of it other than that I think the range stats should be compressed into a simple A/B/C/D format and added to the main stat brick instead of splitting it out into its own separate graph, but then I have that same criticism of EP1 Core, so you're not alone there. There are certainly things I think it would be cool to see added: common branded versions of the generic weapons with slight stat alterations along with fluff would be neat, as would NPC stat blocks for the types of soldiers described on pages 13-15.

Internal links would be nice.
Internal links would be nice. I gave up on using it because navigation was a pain. Less dense formatting would also help with that.

I do feel like I was a little
I do feel like I was a little too beholden to the original table design; I wanted parallelism, and I wound up with mimicking a design that was probably not the best mimicked. To be fair, the number one issue with tables was figuring out how to get them on the page, and that sort of ate up the "is this as elegant as it could be" brainpower. Branded weapons were always a desired feature. Originally my plan as I worked on weapon mods had been to add variants of vanilla weapons (and new weapons) to reflect standard-but-interesting brand-name weapons (like how my Canik pistol is different from a Glock, even though the two are pretty similar in the sense of being handguns). NPCs are the bane of my existence, but we'll see how EP2 handles stuff. With the simplified characters, it should be easier to introduce NPCs (though weapon skills are potentially non-condensed, but we'll worry about that bridge when we come to it). Internal links are a definite feature. I've figured out how to do them elegantly in LibreOffice. Would anyone object to me copying the first pages pretty much wholesale, perhaps with some new sidebar/NPC additions?
