This is an outline for a four session campaign kick-off that I'm planning. Looking for critiques and comments on the structure idea.
- The PCs go in for a standard backup at a clinic in Erato, before they are to be briefed on a mission. They fall asleep (which I'm suggesting isn't an unusual symptom of the process), but wake up and something is wrong... very wrong. They wake up in synthmorphs ("only thing I could find at a moment's notice"), with two days missing, and with a new, urgent mission. Their controller has no details about the outcome of the previous mission, but the new one really is the priority at this point. And getting out of Erato for the mission is complicated because of the fact there's a near-riot after synthmorph mercenaries allegedly cause a blood bath inside the HQ of a hypercorp based in Erato.
- Assuming they do get out... go on their mission... and survive...
- Their next mission is to recover their own cortical stacks from deep inside the HQ of a hypercorp based in Erato. Yep, same one. They go on that mission and if they succeed....
- They're sitting in a briefing, the one they got after they were in the backup clinic at the beginning of the campaign. This is the PCs integrating the memories of what happened, but it plays out as a regular mission. With a somewhat unfortunate ending.
