Basic Rules Dev Question
This has probably been asked before, but it should be simple enough. I am curious on what is the mechanical need on opposed rolls for rolling lower than target and higher than the other? Is there a reason for this over not remaining consistently rolling low over all? May be I am over looking something obvious, but this has been nagging at me for a while now so I figured on finally asking. Thank you. Nathan W.

Re: Basic Rules Dev Question
The opposed rolls mechanic lends itself well to determining who the winner is as quickly as possible, i.e. you only have to do comparisons of greater-than/less-than rather than any arithmetic
