Any other in-depth Exoplanet biospheres?
So, today I was posting on /tg/, when a thread about lost civilisations turned into one about alternate evolutionary paths, and someone posted a lot of images about the animals of Snaiad (unfortunately, the author's original site is gone), and I have to say, I was really impressed with how well thought out they were, having a veneer of familiarity while still making them fundamentally alien. That got me thinking about alien biospheres in general, reminding me of things like the jungles of Pandora from Avatar, and the dusty badlands of Darwin IV from Alien Planet. Anyone else have any good examples of well-detailed alien ecospheres?

The Aurelia and Blue Moon
The Aurelia and Blue Moon production gives us two good exoplanets; I stole liberally from Blue Moon to make my [url=http://eclipsephase.com/exoplanet-design-factchecking-making-world-not-b... exomoon location for my campaign.

You've got one of my favorites with Darwin IV. If you don't have it already,I recommend the book version -Expedition by Wayne Barlowe. In fact he did a good bit of work on Pandora also. Really any of Barlowe's works are good for alien life. Several speculative evolutions of *Earth* life also come to mind. After Man by Dougal Dixon and the Future is Wild ( Dixon consulted) have a number of good suggestions. Finally, Medea: Harlan's World by Harlan Ellison is a collection of short stories set on an alien world that the book details the impressive effort of worldbuilding.
