2e Rep Nets, Factions, and Traits
I have several somewhat related questions for 2e. When selecting a faction, are characters limited to the list on page 44, or can they select any faction from the Factions chapter (starting on p. 152)? The guidelines for what rep network(s) is most closely tied to given factions leaves out many of the factions, particularly social movements. With e-rep gone, what network does the Reclaimer faction favor now? What about Exhuman, Mercurial, and Ultimate groups? The Black Mark trait says it impacts your dealings with a certain faction. The sample character "Shrike" has Black Mark (c-rep) implying that it impacts an entire rep network. Shouldn't she instead have Black Mark (Hypercorp or Jovian or Lunar/Orbital or some other faction)? EDIT: Also, does each character have only one "primary faction" for this purpose? A character might reasonably be Bioconservative and Jovian while another might be Lunar/Orbital and Reclaimer. How would this apply to Black Mark if the character had multiple Black Marks? Would they be cumulative or would only the highest value apply? Prejudice (as a trait) seems to be gone. Is this no longer represented per character but just as a situation social test modifier? EDIT: Also, what scale of choices are recommended for the Enemy negative trait? The two samples are "Cognite" and "Night Cartel" which are less than full factions (which would be Hypercorp and Criminal, respectively) but are more than individuals. Is this the standard, or would entire factions (like Bioconservatives for a Mercurial character) or just a single influential individual (like a particular oligarch) be appropriate?

Why not? I'm not going to show up and stop you from playing the way you want.

I don't what fills those voids. If you want a rep network back, then bring it back.

I don't know. I'll think about it.

*Shrugs* I don't think anything stops you from splitting Know: [Faction] 30 into multiple factions. I think you could also pick 2 (or more) +[Faction] Interests as your motivations. You could also put more points into Know: Faction. I'm not sure about black marks.

Seems that way. Its no longer a trait.

I think the enemy trait is for someone or some group who goes out of their way to cause you trouble. I mean a hypercorp guy might pass laws restricting Uplifts or AGIs, but for their enemy, they might take risks to frame an enemy for a crime.
