Do automatic traits affect my CP?
Do I get a +10 bonus from Social Stigma if it comes automatically with the morph? Do I pay -10 for eidetic memory if it is included in the morph?

No, and no. The costs of such will have been factored into the morph's cost already.

If the morph comes with the trait, then you don't pay for it. Its already factored into the price of the morph. If you add a trait to a morph, then you pay for it.

Side note on that: traits and augments that come with a morph are CHEAPER than getting them otherwise. So, if you really want certain augments it can be worthwhile to go for a morph that has them.

Thank You
But what about factions? Just to cover my bases, does social stigma from being (for example) a singularity seeker give me more points? I'm assuming it works the same as the morph but I want to be sure.

No, you don't gain bonus CP
No, you don't gain bonus CP for your negative traits in that case. To make a long story short, any time you purchase a package of things in any way (Background, faction, morph, etc.) the only cost/gain is from the entire package, not the individual components. In the case of background and faction, this is free but reflected in only being able to pick one from the list. For morphs it's reflected in their CP cost. The price you see for these packages is the price you pay, no more, and no less. It should be noted that backgrounds and factions are mostly all 40 CP (Only one I've found so far that differs is Bonobo Uplift at 50 CP worth of goods). The bonus of the social stigma is given in the form of +10 skill points.

What is the cost to upgrade a background or faction trait? If I take the background of Lost and I get Psi (Level 1) how much does it then cost if I want Psi (Level 2)? Is it 25 points and the old trait is just lost or is it only 5 CP more?
My artificially intelligent spaceship is psychic. Your argument it invalid.

You pay the difference. In this case, it would be 5 cp and you must pick another mental disorder.
