Discrimation of flats
Hello. I'm not very familiar with the lore. Is discrimation of flats a thing?

Depends on what you mean.
Depends on what you mean. Many habs won't allow flats without Basic Biomods in for public health reasons, but besides that flats are becoming collectors morphs, and most morph based discrimination is towards robotic morphs not biological ones.

Thank's for the answer.
Thank's for the answer. What do you mean with collector morphs?

Wealthy people buying up
Wealthy people buying up flats for that genuine human look, sometimes going for specific ethnicity, looks, or ages.

And there is stuff in back of
And there is stuff in back of Morph Recognition Guide that implies the TITANs selectively wiped out certain morph companies and their gene-/product-lines, thus leaving us with the surviving templates, as though they had compromised them and thus any NON-Flat may be a ticking time bomb should the TITANs return. So Flats could be essential to survival of transhumanity's human seedlines. Another reason to preserve Jovian Republic, may need their genes later.
Exhuman, and Humanitarian.

Running around in a no stack,
Running around in a no stack, no mesh-insert flat is just backwards and strange. You could die and have to be resleeved from backup (what do you mean you have no backup!?). People might associate flats with bigoted bioconservatives or fringe religions. However, a flat isn't as obvious as a synth or pod would be. Synths and pods are associated with the lower class and thus is discriminated against (also AI are sometimes put in morphs like that and thus you might be mistaken for an appliance). Different places will treat flats differently (assuming they identify them). Some will see people in them like the Amish, definitely an odd outsider, but harmless. Others will associate them with bigots. Some will think of sleeving into a flat like being anti-vax. You let your kid run around without a stack or backup, then it's child endangerment, needlessly risking their life.

Due to the designed and mainlined looks of morphs flats do stand out against them. After all that look is the reason why people individualize their sleeves if they can; Who wants to look like so many other people?

"Flats are a biohazards and are not allowed on this habitat" also seems to be a popular attitude.
