Earth barricade defences
Who built them? Is there any spoiler/hint in the recent books? I'm reading sunward at the moment. So far the most plausible explanation I think of is that was a collective effort orchestrated by Prometheans, diverting assets from private societies, government, banks and PC to build the "fences" as fast as possible. In the aftermath, when the dust settled, it seemed as it was built by itself, with the few subjects aware that they even had a part in it.

There are no spoilers or hints that I can remember in X-Risks or Firewall, IIRC the interdiction just doesn't come up much. I think the LLA/PC make the most sense personally, for both historical and astrographical reasons they both have a lot of stuff they'd prefer to stay on earth. I suspect that if the Prometheans were involved Firewall would have an easier time bypassing it. Of course, the TITANs could easily have made it for reasons unknown.

I think its one of those things where no answer is given so each GM can fill in the blanks. The answer could be as unique as each GM is. Maybe its an ask 3 GMs, get 4 answers sort a deal.

Yea. The interdiction field, isnt meant to have a cannon answer. Its a plot hook. In Rag nerk rok, the interdiction field, was made by the first firewall proxy. The Warden.

This is what I go with. Partially for the WTF, partially because in my EP the TITANs are still messing with humanity - the interdiction means that only those with the necessary skills, technology and mindset have access to the secrets Earth hides. Basically it's a society level Apple Of Knowledge basilisk hack.
