Getting the books in an alternate format
Hi there, So I'm new to EP, and interested in exploring its potential as a game to play, even if I'm not sure how I feel about some of the questions raised by transhumanism in general. I'm faced with one major stumbling block though: I'm totally blind, and the only format I can find EP books available in is PDF. This isn't really suited to access with my screen reader. I'm wondering if there's a way to get the books in another form—Word, HTML, EPub, almost anything would be preferable. I actually bought into the recent revival of the Bundle of Holding, so I have tons of PDFs which are, frankly, not easy for me to read at all. I'd appreciate any help which might be forthcoming about this issue. This forum seems a pleasant place to browse, and I'm looking forward to learning more. :)

I hope this helps
If you go to this link http://robboyle.wordpress.com/eclipse-phase-pdfs/ There is a link on that page to epub and mobi versions of either the first half of the core book, or all of it. The links also include all or most of the fiction in those two formats. Kindalas

This is most curious to me.
This is most curious to me. How does this screen reader work? Is it audio playback or Is it mechanical that tries to reproduce braille?

Audio or Braille depending
It's audio, most of the time, especially for RPG books. I have a Mac and an i-device, and they have excellent support for most things, PDF with unusual layout aside. I also have a Braille device, which can connect to either of the above, and basically display the equivalent of one line at a time. It's horrendously expensive, but c'est la vie. :) I have the ePub files mentioned above, and while it does have lots of game fiction, it doesn't seem to have actual game mechanics. I feel like I'm missing something fairly crucial there.

I'm working on some file conversions to see if i can help. Probably take me another hour or so.

I exported these using Adobe
I exported these using Adobe Acrobat eleven's native export functions. If these do not work so well I might get a better result out of calibre. https://www.dropbox.com/s/vb6r6wt3u88r70i/epcoreexport.rar?dl=0
