Question about paper version of main rule book and PDF version
I'm taking a look at Eclipse Phase, but here is the thing. I'm a dead tree paper book guy. It's the way I grew up and if I get the PDF, I'll print it anyway. So, I see that the PDF is "4th edition" Presumably the paper book is 1st. Are there a lot of changes from 1st? If there are, I'll get the PDF and print it. If not, I'll get the PDF and paper versions, and just make changes. Thanks for any suggestions!

No. Most of the Paper copies
No. Most of the Paper copies available are the 4th printing version. Eratta can be found on this page: http://eclipsephase.com/resources#errata Also really just by a 4th printing book it will be a lot less expensive

Jetpack: Let me clarify --
Jetpack: Let me clarify -- the print version of Eclipse Phase is currently the fourth printing (not the fourth edition). We reprinted it earlier this year; most copies that are sitting on store shelves should be the fourth printing. If you peek at the middle of the second column on p. 4, it will tell you what printing it is. There were relatively substantial changes between the first printing and the third printing (the second printing was 100% identical to the first printing). When we send a book to reprint, we update the PDF version to keep them in sync. For books that aren't available via traditional print runs but we sell through POD on DriveThruRPG, we normally update the print and POD files at the exact same time.

In case AdamJury wasn't clear
In case AdamJury wasn't clear enough, here's the difference between an edition and a printing. In the third and fourth print runs of Eclipse Phase, the reprints incorporated the eratta that had accumulated since the first printing. One of the most visible examples is the initiative system - it works very, very differently, now. Now, a third and fourth edition would be two and three complete overhauls of the game system down the line - the difference between AD&D, D&D 3e (3.5 can be said to be a reprint of 3e, with a lot of major eratta, but still basically the same system,) D&D 4e, and D&D 5e. So, here's looking forward to Eclipse Phase 4th Edition.
