Two new Morph Traits
Extravagant CP Cost: 0* This morph is meant to turn heads and spawn gossip. A gold-plated Reaper, a much-publicized limited run from a top designer, a morph only a scum would think to stitch together and give life, whatever the form, this morph is noticeable and distinctive in a way that screams resources and aesthetics. When dealing with groups that would find such decoration or design appealing, daring, or delightfully scandalous, you gain a +10 to social interractions. However, one person's chic is another's gaudy or ostentatious; in situations where such a morph is seen as a liability or in bad taste, such as an oversized body requiring more food in a resource-strapped hab or the aforementioned gold-plated Reaper when negotiating with ultimates, you suffer a -10 social penalty. This trait may not be taken with the Innocuous trait. It may, with the GM's discretion, be taken with the Striking Looks trait, and the bonuses may stack depending on the specific design of the morph; of course, this trait makes keeping a low profile almost impossible. Economical CP Cost: 0* They built it to do a job, and by god, it does it. This morph is a study in efficiency and pragmatism. It might be a pod designed for its meatware to be swapped out in seconds, a tough and rugged biomorph, or synthmorph whose designers put good engineering above everything else. It's not flashy, pretty, or spectacular, but it's reliable and effective, and people with a pragmatic streak, proletarian workers, engineers, and other groups find that kind of devotion to practicality admirable. You gain a +10 bonus when dealing with said groups (and, per GM's discretion, minor bonuses to reflect the particulars of its design.) The issue is that this morph isn't going to attract a very positive attention where a bit more polish is expected. In situations where an economical morph is seen as crude and ugly, wearing this skin is like tracking mud into the house and incurs a -10 social penalty. Penalties from social stigmas for pods and the clanking masses are also likely to be enhanced considerably, as such designs are often unsettling or inelegant, respectively. This trait may not be taken with Striking Looks; it implies an absence of cosmetic modifications, and if the character undergoes biosculpting or similar aesthetic enhancements, it may be nullified at the GM's discretion. -------- I wanted to expand on some of the disparity of morphs and reflect the fact that, like cars, they're built with different things in mind. An old, reliable truck can be an eyesore, for instance, and you wouldn't pick a Lamborghini as your cargo hauler. I admit, not my best writing and way too verbose, but I wanted to hash out the basics for feedback before I polish them too much. I'll say right now, I have no idea how appropriate the CP costs are, so that's what I'm mostly interested in. Thoughts? *Edit 1: switched to 0 CP cost per Kindalas' suggestion and my forgetting neutral traits had no cost.

I'd almost say that these
I'd almost say that these should count as special traits (ie cost 0) because they have a balance of positive and negative traits depending on social context.
