Christopher Nolan's Interstellar
Been keeping half an eye on this movie; Nolan's one of my favorites, and I'm really, really psyched, based on what I've seen so far and his proven ability to make enjoyable movies with strong intellectual themes. And now the trailer has been released: http://youtu.be/zSWdZVtXT7E Thoughts? Reactions? No transhumanism, but the theme is space travel, exploration, and growing as a species.

I really don't know. After
I really don't know. After the first Teaser I was hoping for something more unconventional with all the NASA footage in it and stuff. This new Trailer on the other hand makes the movie look far more like your usual Blockbuster (and Scifi has had an awful lot of those lately). White guy goes off for important business because some old scientist-type tells him to. Reluctant at first, he finally leaves his family behind, a lot of tears are shed, very emotional and meaningful-seeming sentences are exchanged and so on. I like McConaughey though, he's kinda cool.

Ok... don't know if this is necking. If it is, sorry. Seen the movie, and I have to say that even without transhumanity, I believe it reflects a Gatecrashing mission rather well. Lacking the more "lovecraftian" and action-adventure elements that are rather normal to the setting, but then again, guess not all Gatecrashing adventures are like that.
