The article is somewhat ho-hum but the linked video of [url=http://www.wired.com/design/2013/07/distributed-flight-array-modular-sel... drones hooking themselves together into a larger flying unit[/url] is fascinating. Unfortunately they only seem capable of hovering at this time, there is not much provision for lateral movement yet.
