Hello,
In your mind, how much it could cost (in credits) to hire a bodyguard?
Thank you for your answers,
Varkal

Here's how I'd do it in my EP universe.
It's a matter of quality, mostly. There's little reason to use people unless they are superior to AIs. So moxie is your big differentiator.
If they came bonded, licensed, and insured, I'd charge about 1% of the cost of their insured gear per day. Ready and willing to see destruction in the pursuance of their duty. Things that don't need insured or bonded (like software) would be 1/3 that price.
Then add a premium hourly rate for their skills/aptitudes. I'd likely uprade/downgrade this based on how good their networking and research rolls are. 15 minute 60x simulspace breaks (15 hour subjective) every 8 hours.
Joke - probably a Delta fork - Aptitudes 5/skills 40/moxie 0 - free
Poor - aptitudes 10, INT,REF 20/skills 40/moxie 1 - 2 credit per hour
Fair - aptitudes 15 avg/1 skill at 50/other skills 40/moxie 2 - 4 credits per hour
Good - aptitudes 15 avg - 1 skills 60, 4 at 50, rest 40/moxie 3- 15 credits per hour
Anything beyond Good is likely to take time to find (networking rolls) unless the PCs will take a beta fork of some legendary merc (4 hour maximum).
Things like employer control/escrow/review of memory files and xp would cost extra (maybe just go security AI then)
Cyberbrains favored due to no sleep necessary and ease of egocasting (you can hire from anywhere that way and get the best price).
As PCs build a reputation for insurance claims/payouts/TPKs prices go up very quickly!
Mea Culpa: My mode of speech can make others feel uninvited to argue or participate. This is the EXACT opposite of what I intend when I post.
