The Codeless Code
A classic form of computer stories are the AI koans. The Codeless Code is a set of stories about software development told in the same form: http://thecodelesscode.com/contents I feel many of these would make great sayings or stories for AGIs, Argonauts or other EP groups. Some favorites: http://thecodelesscode.com/case/1 http://thecodelesscode.com/case/3 http://thecodelesscode.com/case/6 (quite related to 3) http://thecodelesscode.com/case/8 http://thecodelesscode.com/case/13 (the last line sounds like a great slogan) http://thecodelesscode.com/case/19 (explains a lot of AGI names) http://thecodelesscode.com/case/21 http://thecodelesscode.com/case/60 http://thecodelesscode.com/case/62 http://thecodelesscode.com/case/68 http://thecodelesscode.com/case/57 http://thecodelesscode.com/case/70 (this one explains the TITANs)

Oooh. I like. Must share
Oooh. I like. Must share with coders and computer geeks that I know. And #1 I think universally applies to any human endeavor--I can totally see Saepi, my Yeti Monk PC (Changeling: The Lost game, currently at 2.5 years of weekly sessions :D) using that little story to enlighten the bratty PC regarding his fixation on small details. And I'm definitely going to use for that Eclipse Phase story that I'm working on; the sort of attitude that the Java Master shows seems to be exactly the sort of thing that my Anarchist Engineer would appreciate. Hehehehehe...
