Game Changers
What has been the craziest thing you've done to change the setting during a game? I just ran my first session, and had a comet hit Olympus to stop a nanoswarm. As a result, one of my players was crushed by the space elevator.

I second that. Sort of a Well, that escalated quickly moment.

Wouldn't redirecting a comet
Wouldn't redirecting a comet take a long time? Who had that much advanced warning of a nanoswarm outbreak?

The comet was already
The comet was already scheduled for a bombardment, it was redirected when it was close to the planet. It probably doesn't' work with physics, but it was dramatic as hell.

My group started a war
My group started a war between the Jovian Republic and the Planetary Consortium, it's in an earlier thread. Then they blew up the Vulcanoid Gate that had been overrun by Exsurgents, well blew up the facility anyway, no one knows what happened to the gate.

My players went down a mohole
My players went down a mohole in the TQZ and made contact with the same Bracewell Probe that corrupted the TITANs. Then the probe magnetised the iron core of Mars, giving the planet its own magnetic field. Chaos and civil war on Mars.

My group hijacked a Factor
My group hijacked a Factor ship, flew it to Titan, and sold it off for enough rep that they all retired. That is literally how the campaign ended. They all quit Firewall and decided to buy themselves an exoplanet. On one hand, awesome, I really didn't expect them to do that. I used that game as the start of the next campaign, in which the Commonwealth managed to get themselves a reactionless engines before anyone else. On the other hand, it really sucked. All my plans!

How on earth did they hijack a Factor ship, let alone FLY it? Oh, wait, don't answer that... my mind will probably imlode. And quit FW? "Hey Mister Sentinel, here's my notice. Not interested in working with ex-risks anymore. Why? The pay was awful, and the company benefits lousy." Made me chuckle.

Burned Notice, EP style!
That could lead to a new campaign, trying to survive Firewall's egohunters Because nobody leaves Cerberus... I mean FW! like Not Ever!

Oh, that is a good plotline ... Firewall is no longer on the human side.
