Huge Solar Tornadoes Discovered
http://www.physorg.com/news/2012-03-huge-tornadoes-sun.html This was just presented at a conference in Manchester. The video of the tornado is pretty sweet. It's 100,000km tall and spins at 300,000 kmph! I imagine they'd cause big problems for the Suryas.

That may have to become an adventure hook. "As the largest solar storms of the decade are predicted dilettants and daredevils from around the Solar System gather on Oahu station for the largest ever Coronal Surfing Competition." I'm not sure what BAD THING happens from there to involve the PCs and Firewall, but it's a pretty interesting set piece. Plus its an excuse to sleeve in to Suryas. Hooray for Space Whales!
