A very in-depth look at a recent X-Threat
This website only allows you to read 10 pages at a time, but you can get around this by simply switching web browsers. Deleting your cookies probably also works: http://ajw.asahi.com/article/0311disaster/fukushima/AJ201203090078 Also, if anyone knows of a nice in-depth and free book on the Cuban Missile Crisis, +2 rep to you.

Of course, bad as the quake, tsunami and nuclear disaster were, they were never close to a real existential threat. Just local problems... which of course goes to show that even local issues can be tough to deal with. Just imagine the same dynamics when the Fall happens. Google books does have a lot of books related to it; might be a good start for deciding what to pick up at the library (remember that place? It is still around! Weird...)
