A pretty elegant way of photographing around corners: use a very short flash, and measure exactly when the light returns from different surfaces. Then calculate how the unseen parts of the scene must look to produce the pattern.
In EP, I can see this as a high-end add-on to enhanced vision or t-rays, allowing some limited corner-seeing at the price of active emissions. Hmm, an enemy with the same kind of system might use it to pinpoint where the flash went off too, allowing them to shoot back through a wall. obviously best used against less enhanced opponents.
