Here's another idea for how to increase EP spread: use Wikipedia. There is already a Wikipedia article on EP (hmm, I cannot get this link to work on the forums... and I get spam filter warning... you'll just have to go to Wikipedia and type Eclipse Phase manually there), but it needs expansion (did you know that anybody can edit Wikipedia, just like EP wiki?). EP Wikipedia's article is pretty poor, which is good - it means it can be expanded. For starters, it needs a list of EP related products. Existing sections can be expanded. If the article is expanded 5x over the period of 5 days, it will be eligible for main page appearance in the Did You Know section. Further improvement could award the article a Good Article status, or even Featured Article (this one merits a 24h main page appearance, and Wikipedia's main page gets millions of hits per day). If you can put a dozen or so hours into improving the article, the advertising benefits can be quite significant. Sadly, Wikipedia's CC-BY-SA license is NOT compatible with EP CC-BY-SA-NC license, so any content added to Wikipedia needs to be properly rewritten - we cannot just copy and paste from EP or EP wiki here. Adding more illustrations to Wikipedia would be nice, but again, the NC clause on EP products (quite understandable) makes it rather impossible (unless EP producers decide to relicense an image or two for the purpose of adding more illustrations to the Wikipedia article?). I am an experienced Wikipedia editor; I'd do the above changes myself but I am very new to EP so I am lacking in that knowledge dept :) Feel free to ask me for helm, I am Piotrus on Wikipedia as well.
