While the planetary powers have flags, the Ultimates have their intimidating squiggly, and the anarchists have held on to their circumscribed "A," I was wondering anyone else had a symbol they used in communiques. If the Extropian community, or a group of Reclamationists, or anyone else wanted to make sure people knew a press release or act of vandalism was tied to their cause, what symbol would they use? Obviously, many groups aren't cohesive, but is there some symbol in pop culture that gets tied to them even if they don't want it to? Just like many Communist factions don't like the hammer/sickle, but a news article about Communists in general would include that as a news graphic. Here are a few ideas (if I missed one in the book, remind me): Argonaut: The recognized diagram of the Solar system with a brain at the center instead of a sun. Barsoomian: Fist raised in the middle of a red circle Bioconservative: Divinci's Vitruvian Man Exhuman:A human silhouette split open, deflating, a globe of light emerging and floating upwards Mercurials: A tentacle, fin, wing, a hand of binary symbols, and a paw on each other in "teamwork-go!" circle Nanoecologist: A DNA helix with leaves budding off Reclaimers: A green, renewed earth in the palms of two hands Scum: A tribal pattern with an obscene symbol in the center The only one I've had trouble with is Extropians. A dollar sign seems too gauche, and I don't know if there's any Randian imagery that can be boiled down to a logo. What do you guys think?
