Considering things like log in with facebook or sign in with google/twtiter OpenID ect are becoming more pervasive what are your thoughts on this?
Personally i hate it. I consider it first and foremost a massive security hole. break one password and get access to a dozen or more different sites. second i prefer to keep distinct identities on different sites. However i will acquiesce if the log in is across all of a single company's web sites like with game front which has over dozen sub sites

Since most people tend to
Since most people tend to reuse the same usernames and passwords, I don't think it's actually that big of a security issue. Assuming the initial account is pretty secure, I think it's actually an improvement. Sure, all your eggs are in one basket, but it's a pretty well armored basket. Obviously I wouldn't do it for things like banking, but it's a lot more convenient than cycling through my usual variations of my usual passwords trying to figure out which one I used here. (Honestly, I wish websites would post their password guidelines on their login pages. That way I'd know what password variation I was likely to have used)

You, too, were made by humans. The methods used were just cruder, imprecise. I guess that explains a lot.
